How is IN STOCK IN TOWN any different than looking something up in the phone book? The phone book lists businesses by type of business. ISIT is based on products and whether a store has the item available.
Can I buy a product from ISIT?
Not directly. You will get a listing of which stores have your product in stock and will be able to go to the store's website and purchase it online if the store has that capability.
Why don't you list product prices on ISIT?
Retail prices are not part of an inventory database and we do not want our retailers to have to enter the information. Plus, we want our information to be up-to-date. Most of our retailers want the ability to offer specials or sales without having to worry about the ISIT listing being correct. Our service is not about price wars. We want to save shoppers the time, money and frustration of endless searching for a product by calling and driving around town.
How is IN STOCK IN TOWN any different than looking something up in Google? Goodle and other search engines may be able to direct you to a particular store that sells your product. You may be able to find availability on the store's website. ISIT is designed to offer options for all types of products, not just major appliances or electronics and is based on serving the public's desire to get something they want quickly and easily without driving too far or having to order online.
The search engines usually provide information from the super stores and other mega chains but do not offer information for the smaller independently owned businesses. Will you offer products from those retailers also? Absolutely! ISIT is designed to be afordable for everyone. We offer solutions based on the number of items that you list per month. We can list one product or thousands of products so there is a solution for every budget and every size store.
What if ISIT says a product is in stock but when I get to the store, they no longer have it in stock?
Our information is only as good as what the retailer provides but we will include the date that the particular inventory item was updated by the retailer in our results. We offer incentives to the retailers to keep their information current.
What is the Review Rating based on for each retailer?
Shoppers are encouraged to rate the retail stores with "stars" to indicate to other shoppers, and to the retailer, how helpful their listing was and how accurately the information was provided.
